Who I am

I'm an aspiring game developer from Jyväskylä, Finland. I have loved video games of all sorts since I first played Spyro the Dragon on my older sister's PlayStation. Through video games I grew a general interest in computers, and eventually found myself studying IT in university. That's when I first learned programming and fell in love with the problem-solving and creative nature of it. Combining the love for video games and programming, I started learning game design and development.

What I do

I play, design and develop games. None of those professionally, yet. I am, however, passionate about all of the aforementioned things, and aim to make a career out of it one way or another.

What I've made

• Rolladillo (2022) is the first game I ever made semi-seriously. I took part in a small 48-hour game jam. With two other people — another programmer and a graphics designer — we came up with Rolladillo. It was an intense experience, especially for someone whose experience with game development so far was from doing a couple of Unity tutorials. It was a great experience, however, and only made me more determined to continue on the same track.
• Your Words, And Mine (2023) is the first game I made as a larger project, with 4 other amazing people. We wanted to create something different and audio-visually pleasing, and I feel we were succesful. The game was never finished, however, but I couldn't be more proud of myself and the team. This was my first time using different Unity packages, and boy-howdy did I learn a lot during these 5 months of developing the game.
• SUPER COOL (2024) is another game jam submission, a Nokia 3310 game jam specifically. Working with a familiar graphics designer, and another friend who's a great programmer, was a blast. We received incredibly positive comments on the game and I know I'm personally very proud of our product too. In fact, the very limiting game jam rules gave birth to some fun ideas for games I want to make in the future.
